OptionsXpress, by Charles Schwab, is a single platform taht allows users to trade options and futures contracts. Users can manage accounts with the API including order entry as well as any account-related function that is available to users on the optionsXpress website. If it's not available on the website, it's not available via the API. An account is required with service. There are two commission tiers at OptionsXpress. If you execute fewer than 35 options trades during a quarter, then you pay $1.50 for each contract, with a minimum fee per trade of $14.95. If you execute more than 35 options trades during a quarter, then you qualify for the “Active Trader” rate. For commission-free ETFs, optionsXpress offers the same 182 ETFs as its parent company Charles Schwab. Trade fees are reimbursed as a automatically credited commission rebate. Options Trades - optionsXpress charges $1.50 per contract if under 35 options trades per quarter with a $14.95 minimum. Otherwise it is only $1.25 per contract with a $12 ... Option express charges $9.95 to trade bonds, ETF’s, mutual funds, stocks, and bonds. This is high compared to close competitors such as OptionsHouse, FirstTrade and TradeKing. As aforementioned, OptionsExpress is the platform for traders who value excellent services and advanced tools and resources over cheaper fees. OptionsXpress no longer offers their Auto-Trade service which enabled clients to follow their favorite newsletter’s recommendations without placing each trade themselves.
